Introduction

The Doodle Labs Mesh Rider Evaluation Kits are designed to facilitate the setup and testing of various Doodle Labs Mesh Rider Radios in a controlled environment. Each evaluation kit comes equipped with essential components to simplify integration, performance testing, and software configuration on the bench. Whether you are working with the Wearable, Mini-OEM, Nano-OEM, or OEM Mesh Rider radios, the evaluation kit provides the core components and interfaces needed for a seamless initial setup experience.

Note: The evaluation kits do not include the radios themselves; they must be ordered separately to suit specific application needs. Mesh Rider Radios are available in different frequencies and form factors, optimized for diverse use cases, such as robotics, UAVs, or ground control stations.

Overview of Mesh Rider Radios and Evaluation Kits

Each type of Mesh Rider radio—Wearable, Mini-OEM, Nano-OEM, and OEM—offers unique features and connectors that cater to various configurations:

  • Wearable Mesh Rider Radio: Compact with TNC-F connectors, suitable for mobile or personnel-worn applications. The kit includes a dedicated battery, antennas, and locking cables.
  • Mini-OEM Mesh Rider Radio: Designed for embedded setups with two MMCX connectors, this kit includes a heatsink, thermal pad, MMCX-SMA cables, and Ethernet connectivity.
  • Nano-OEM Mesh Rider Radio: Ideal for minimalistic integrations where space is limited. It includes a single MMCX connector and basic cable setups.
  • OEM Mesh Rider Radio: A multiband radio designed for industrial setups, featuring multiple MMCX and Molex/JST connectors for versatile applications. The kit includes additional breakout boards and three antennas.

Each kit also includes the necessary breakout boards and connectors for power, USB, and Ethernet connectivity, enabling fast initial connections without requiring custom interfaces.
